Today I'm going to Vegas! Before my departure, I decided to share my facial routine since I obviously need to be glowing.
I've been up since 9am, even though I planned to wake up at 10am. My face is pretty oily in the morning so I usually start my routine as soon as I wake up. For the first step, I decided to finish off one of my favorite facemasks: a Freeman brand Clearing Sweet Tea and Lemon Peel-Off Clay Mask available at most drug stores.
After application I usually just keep myself busy since it's a waiting game.

The directions state to leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes, but would it really be me if I didn't leave it for an hour? I left it on as I typed my June Curlkit Review and prepped my travel items for Vegas. This mask is incredibly great because it feels lightweight and it sucks up all of the oil off my face! To remove, you simply peel off as the name implies. Although it looks like it's painful, it really isn't!
After removing my clearing facemask, I applied my Rosy Cheeks from Lush (only available in stores).

I actually received this product free since I returned five clean black pots for recycling! I love the facts that this company focuses on reusing their plastics, they only test on human volunteers, focus on ethical buying, is 100% vegetarian, and it's so fresh you need to refrigerate it! This facemask in particular is a favorite because it makes me feel so bougee, smells great, and it vegan.
By this time, it's time to shower. I removed my second facemark after 20 minutes with a washcloth, but it's also super easy to just wash off (see first pic below for the result). My face was feeling refreshed and smelled really great and it was time to exfoliate. I applied my St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub and gently rubbed it over my face for about a minute (see second pic below). I love this exfoliator because it contains active ingredients to help fight acne and it's super gentle on the skin. In addition, St Ives uses 100% natural exfoliators instead of harmful plastic. This product is also available at most drugstores. I usually exfoliate once a day, but I will be taking a break from it for the next week while I'm in Vegas. I'll be posting an updated facial routine as I change it to fit the extreme heat and dry weather during my trip.
After exfoliating, I pat my face dry with a towel and let it air dry naturally. Once my face is rid of moisture, I apply my Thayer's brand Witch Hazel infused with lemon. Witch Hazel is a flower that can be extracted to use to keep our skin clean and fight against acne. I incorporate Witch Hazel in my daily routine as a toner and moisturizer because I have oily skin. It keeps my skin rid of oil while also helping fight against any blemishes.
This concludes today's facial routine, thanks for reading!
