December's Curlkit was better than November, but I was still initially disappointed. I looked at the products I thought would not benefit my hair and I quickly lost interest. However, I actually gave them a try and used it up in it's entirety!
If you read my November Curlkit review you would know that I was disappointed, but still open-minded. December was a bit harder at first since I thought I couldn't use the products I received. After all, why was I paying for a service that wasn't beneficial to me?

Looking at these brands were difficult because I have never heard of them. Also, what was really good with the Christmas card I received in this box? I was real salty and it's okay. After some research, I learned that the brand Dax for Naturals is owned by a Black family so they was tryna be cute with the card -- and it was cute. However, when I opened the bottles the products were incredibly thick and I just sat in confusion.
I never really used pomade so I was like, what is this? Curling cream though, I felt like I could do. I read the ingredients and saw that it was truly natural and good for our hair. I decided to give it a try for both a twist-out and a wash and go. I used the styling pomade as I sectioned and twisted after I washed my hair. I left my hair in my bonnet and the next morning, the results were beautiful. I received so many positive comments at work after untwisting my hair and I was feeling gorg! During another time, I used the curling cream for a wash and go -- it truly locked in the moisture! I felt so wrong for judging a book by its cover at first, but I was so happy I decided to give it a try. I've used both these products in its entirety now and I would be open to using it again.
These two products have not been used much since I decided to keep these little one ounce products as travel-sized items. I have used it a couple times to help me tie my hair in a pony tail and it's worked well so far.
I can't find a pic of the Curls Unleashed Style Pack separately, but I guess ya can refer to the pic of the box. Bruh, this is actually a throwback. Curls Unleashed was the brand that I started with and I moved on to bigger and better things. I was unimpressed with the style pack that came with three products: an acai and banana rinse out conditioner, cocoa and shea butter leave in conditioner, and a honey and coconut hair milk pack. I still used them though since I need to make worth of what I spend my money on. I used these paired with the shampoo I received in my November Curlkit. The acai and banana rinse out conditioner smelled magical, but the two others were okay. I used the conditioners as the directions specified and helped me detangle. The hair milk was used to refresh 3 day curls and I wasn't really a fan. It's okay though, this experience brought me a lot of nostalgia from a struggling younger natural.
The last two items were bottles of Novex Bamboo Sprout Leave in Conditioner and I'm so happy they included a pair! I've used one of the bottles already as I revived my two to three day old curls. This is actually an all-time favorite and haven't been able to find this product in stores since it's always sold-out! This is a must-need to have you smelling and feeling good. Your curls will love you for it.
What did I learn from this Curlkit? Don't judge a book by its cover.
The whole point of having this membership service is not only to get products for the low, but to also try and learn new things. Remain open-minded and don't know it til you try it.
I took a little hiatus from my membership for a few months, but check out what I received in April for my birthday month!
